One of the major changes brought about by NEP 2020 is the introduction of internship for all kinds of degree courses in India. The idea is not just to provide theoretical knowledge to the student, but also to give real-time exposure before graduation. The New Education Policy 2020 has made it mandatory to complete a four to six weeks internship of 120 hours after the fourth semester at Undergraduate (UG) level and at the end of the second semester at Postgraduate (PG) level.
The Internship Cell of the college organises various workshops throughout the year to sensitize students and create awareness regarding internships. Companies are invited to the college to interact with students and share their internship programmes. During these programmes, companies select students for internships and, in many cases, also provide employment opportunities.
To facilitate internships, the college has entered into Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with three institutions where students can complete their internships either free of cost or at a minimal fee.
